Leadership training for youth begins

Bangladesh Youth Leadership Centre (BYLC) organized a four-month long training program on 'Building bridges through leadership training' with the support of the US embassy in Dhaka.

The opening ceremony of the training program was held in the auditorium of Hotel Peninsula in the port city yesterday.
Nicholas Dean, charge d' affaires of US embassy in Dhaka, was the keynote speaker while Ejaj Ahmad, president of BYLC, and Ivdad Ahmad Khan Mojlish, director of BYLC, spoke at the ceremony.

Nicholas Dean said this kind of training should come up frequently and after the training program, application of leadership is important.

The objective of the program is to bridge gaps in society by raising awareness among young people, equip them with leadership, problem-solving and teamwork skills and engage them in community service and active citizenship, said Ejaj Ahmad.
